I am the kind of friend any girl, hell even any guy, would love to have. You can sit and talk to me about nothing or everything for hours on end. I am never shy to join in the conversation and muse about one of life’s many shared experiences. These experiences are the threads that weave our lives together in intricate ways and thrill me to no end.
I enjoy splashing in the shallow end of life’s many wonders but have the reach to dive deeper as well. Many say I am wise beyond my years; although my track record suggests I tend to prefer learning things the hard way. My dad was my best friend and we were very much alike specifically in our stubbornness. To be stubborn has been equated to being stupid- this is debatable. Whenever I did something funny growing up my dad would call me a "stupid kid". It;s true, I am stupidly stubborn and motivated to make you laugh but stupid I am not!
I give voice to the things we all often think privately, but rarely share with the masses. I am not exactly what you might refer to as politically correct. My motto is: “I do what I want and if you don’t like it go fuck yourself”.
In my younger years I was accused by elderly school bus drivers and substitute teachers as not being lady like and having a mouth like a trucker. Not much has changed on those fronts. I have learned how to maintain a professional decorum when required. and I have a softer side, some are fortunate enough to experience it.
My talent for storytelling comes from my grandmother who was known to weave a tale or two, with a few embellishments sprinkled here or there and everywhere, from her fickle perspective. I can be a bit demonstrative, quirky, a little snarky, and I love to laugh.
In truth Beatrice is my alter ego. To some extent she is exactly who I was before the world judged me and tried to tell me who to be.
She is my internal narrator and a gal that has taken on a life all of her own. She is everything I am, everything I am not, and who I am proud to be. I hope you come to love her as much as I do.
If this sounds like your cup of tea well then I think we can be great friends!
